There are some great events that are held in Killarney in Ireland throughout the year and the beautiful scenery, rugged terrain and free open spaces makes the area a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Marathons and charity walks and runs are popular with locals and also people from all over Ireland. One popular event is a walk from Kenmare to Torc Waterfall, which is organised each year for Multiple Sclerosis.

People from outside of Killarney come to visit as it is known for great nights out and as there is great atmosphere in this town, groups of people come to celebrate occasions such as hen and stag nights and also birthdays. Scotts bar is a great place to start your night; many locals and tourists visit here as staff and customers are very friendly and they occasionally has a live band.
