Wales is famed as the land of song, and South Wales in particular is known for it's valleys and it's coal mines. But, there is a lot more to South Wales as many tourists are beginning to discover. It's capital Cardiff, gets the most visitors, as it has several tourist attractions and it is also now one of Britain's top shopping destinations. But in our opinion, South Wales' greatest attraction is its long unspoilt coastline.
The South West of England, and Cornwall in particular have long been a popular tourist destination. People choose the area as it has Britain's best climate (if you like sun and not rain). It is warmer than anywhere else, and has a magnificent coastline which is disproportionately long due to its peninsular shape. For many people sun and sea are the only two boxes that need ticking before they decide to book a caravan holiday and head off for a week or weekend.

Caravan Holidays in Southern England

The two counties along England's South coast that get the most visitors are Dorset, and Kent. As a result, numerous caravan parks have sprung up in both areas over the years. The great British tradition of seaside holidays is a alive, well, and in the current economic climate it is actually growing. Many Caravan holiday parks are offering great advance booking deals, but, if you are thinking about making a booking, don't leave it too late, as spaces are going very quickly this year.
The North of Britain is an area of stunning landscapes. Yorkshire and Scotland are both renowned for their outstanding natural beauty. What many people don't realize is that although inland the countryside offers many opportunities for the visitor, both Scotland and Yorkshire have long, and pristine coastlines. Yorkshire is known for many things; heavy industry, yorkshire puddings, flat caps and more.

Caravan Holidays in Eastern England

The East of England contains two very interesting counties, Norfolk and Essex. Norfolk is a bit of an anomaly as it is England's only 'waterlogged' county, and as a result it gets a lot of visitors who come to take advantage of it's numerous waterways. It is also a flat county so it gets many cycling visitors who see a bicycle as a great way of casually seeing the countryside, not an endurance test.
