The Rosario Island Coral Reef System is one of many marine National Parks in the Caribbean sea, and one of 46 in Colombia. The park covers an area of about 20 hectares of coral reef and 43 different islands.
The reef was formed hundreds of years ago. Volcanic activity deep below the earths surface pushed the seabed up over time, allowing coral beds to form and marine life to flourish.

In fact, organized tours offer trips to wheelchair friendly hotels, museums and other places of interest so that disabled travelers can enjoy their destination just as much as the next traveler. Rome, the grand capital of Italy, is no exception and has joined this trend in a big way.
Admittedly, in previous years, Rome seemed to be oblivious to the daily trials of wheelchair bound locals and visitors as they tried to maneuver their way around the city and enter buildings that were not easily accessible.

The city is built around a grid-like system using Carrera and Calles. In a nutshell, Calles are streets that run east and west, while Carrera's are big avenues that run North to South. Once you understand the basic concept of how Bogota's streets and avenues are set out, perhaps by studying a map or two, the system is quite logical and easy to understand.

The first is the city's annual festival in honor of Barcelona's patron saint, the Virgin de la Merce.
This is a week long celebration in late September characterized by events of all types. Most notable are its parades of giants (the parade consists of huge wooden giants controlled by operators on the ground) and the festival's regular competition to build the largest human tower.

In the 16th century, Cartagena was a prominent Spanish port and was the principal storage depot for precious treasure plundered by the Spanish from the Indians of Central and South America. Treasure was stored in Cartagena until it could be transported back to Spain. As a result, Cartagena was regularly attacked by hordes of pirates operating throughout the Caribbean.

There's many good arguments that can be made in support of that notion. Certainly, Seville embodies much of Spain's history and its roots. Over it's 2000 years of history, Seville was once called "Hispalis" by the Romans, was occupied by the Vandals and Visigoths from the north, was taken and occupied by the Moors, and later re-conquered by the Christians.

Although Nice actually became part of France in 1860, it was foreign visitors, especially the English in the early 1800's, and later wealthy Americans, that made Nice a major tourism center and the dominant resort on the Mediterranean.
During the English Victorian period, hordes of English visitors vacationed in Nice in search of health cures and sunny spas.
