My warm hearted nature suggests that this would certainly be a kind gesture if not a plausible idea. While the homeless of the world might not be the next people to enjoy the warm climates of Tenerife many of the regular holidaymakers will be contemplating the idea, and why not with average high temperatures of 19°C during winter.

I'm like most of the world's holidaymakers, give me a beach and temperatures over 20°C and I'll be content. I always wanted to visit the Caribbean because I keep hearing about the great weather and natural beauty that pretty much every island is blessed with, but my interest stops when I hear the prices. Also the main tourist season starts in December which doesn't attract me at all as I prefer staying with the family.

There are numerous sunny destinations within Europe and the Mediterranean Sea particularly, but none with the landscape that I was looking for.

If anyone has ever visited Cyprus they will understand the true beauty of the island, and nowhere else offers a better example of the island than Paphos. As soon as you get there you will see what all the fuss is about, why both the Ottoman and Roman Empires claimed areas along the coast of Cyprus. Most people looking for great holiday destinations they are happy with the fact that there is plenty of sun and a half decent beach to enjoy, but by coming Paphos you get the added bonus of beautiful natural surroundings as well as plenty of fun activities both day and night.

If you have been everywhere and not found what you like then you haven't tried Protaras, well actually if you have tried Protaras but the point I'm making is that the coastal town might just be the perfect town for you. With that being said you would require some convincing that Protaras really does offer a significant amount for tourists to enjoy during their stay.

If you haven't been to a resort around the Red Sea then you certainly haven't experienced your best holiday. The town of Hurghada has quickly become a popular resort on Egypt's west coast because of the fantastic beaches and water based activates that are available. At the other end of the scale you can also enjoy fantastic quad bike rides way out into the vast Sahara desert that lurks just behind Hurghada.

In a world where package holidays reign supreme and cheap holidays can often cost as much as a weekly food shop, it is no surprise that so many people are choosing to flock to foreign shores. These cheap deals are obviously not going to take you to 5* luxury island retreats, instead purpose built tourist resorts reign supreme. They may not offer deep historical ties, rich culture or isolated havens but they do provide everything you would need and expect from a cheap holiday destination.
