Vilamoura is the name given to an area rather than to any actual town.
It is outstanding in that it is one of the largest single tourist complexes in Europe and covers some 2.000 hectares of land. The land is variable in its vegetation, some parts covered in pine forests whilst others open recovered marshland.
The company that owns this complex is extremely environmentally conscious and has made every effort is being made to protect nature within its continued planned development.

The obvious consequence of booking your vacations online is that travel agents are used less and less. This gradual turn to travel websites has come about because more discounts can be found and you can book the vacation at any time of the day. I have used travel agents since my senior year trip and no matter how many websites offer unbeatable deals; I will remain loyal to them although have taken a liking to doing my own research.

The islands of the Caribbean are renowned for many things including the number of all inclusive vacation packages you can find there. These islands are the capital of the world for all inclusive Caribbean vacations, so much so that they outsell any other type of vacation available. The area has at times been called the home of all inclusive vacations due to the high proportion of that type of vacation package compared to other packages. This is such a popular area of the world that all inclusive Caribbean vacations now outnumber bed and breakfast vacations booked on the islands. Some attribute the popularity of the Caribbean islands to the predominance of this type of vacation, however, there really isn't any basis for this belief.

More and more people are booking their vacations and doing the research online and travel agents are seeing less people walking through their doors. Travel websites have become more sophisticated, enabling every part of your travel itinerary to be completed, irrespective of how complicated it is. While the internet does have its benefits and I admit to using it to look for vacations and learn more about where I want to visit, I still prefer to have a travel agent in person to sit in front of and actually book the vacation.
