It was around the end of May of this year that I had decided to resign from my job in London as a counsellor and take a nice weeklong holiday to Majorca, Spain. This was a starting point in me hunting for a new place to live, check out Majorca property prices and drink loads of Sangria on the beach! It would be my first trip to Spain and I have long since had my heart set on owning a property in Spain one day.

Most people would have experienced that feeling that their day is just not going to get any better, even if they did wake up on the right side of the bed. I am one of those people when having worked diligently all week over different articles, I then find myself by the end of the week staring at a blank page not knowing what on earth to write next! This is the point whereby I switch my mind off and fantasize about a long break away at a luxury Caribbean hotel.

My father was one of the lucky few people in our town to have retired at the age of 50. Having spent nearly 40 years of his life working in restaurants and running his own business, he seized his opportune moment to retire. However, this retirement is nothing more than just sitting at home and the occasional jetting out of the country every 6 months, I could not help but notice the trend in leaving the homeland and buying a property abroad.

Yachts are seen as a luxury experience that are normally associated with rich people. The Greek yacht and shipping industry have been a strong business for over 10,000 years. Some of the most famous magnates of the twentieth century have used the shipping industry to make their fortune. The Greeks have maintained their passion for the sea, which is revered as the a beautiful element and believing it possessed Godlike powers.

Going on holiday is more accessible to people in the UK than it perhaps was thirty years ago. Airline tickets were much more expensive and more of a hassle to organise, than they are today. Ski holidays were more associated with the rich and wealthy, however, as time has progressed, going on holiday has become very easy to book and can be available at affordable cheap prices.

There comes a point in the year where one will think to his or herself that they are in much need of a holiday. Perhaps near the summer time or at the beginning winter just before Christmas, there is a gloomy feeling about sticking to your normal routine of work, eat and sleep that you then think to yourself you definitely need to just get away and unwind.

If I am to be completely honest I had not been on holiday for years and I was long overdue a break. Therefore, it was time for me to take a week out, which was exactly what I needed to relax and unwind.

I decided to take a holiday to Les Gets in August 07, one of the premier Ski holiday resorts in France during the winter period, but in the summer, it is mountain bike holidays get away, legendary enough to make my mountain biker friend green with envy

I had never travelled alone before so I walked through the entrance of Luton airport like a rabbit in headlights.

Spain has been a popular destination for holidaymakers for many years. People are attracted to the relaxed atmosphere, the sunny temperature, vibrant culture, exotic food and the warm sandy beaches. Of course, certain parts of Spain are far more appealing than other parts, depending on the individuals taste and expectation. For example, Madrid attracts those after a more cosmopolitan culture, whereas Majorca attracts those looking to relax more on the beach and enjoy the scenery.

Bonding with your family on holiday is a great way for you all to relax and forget about your stresses and worries. Nevertheless, a great way to bond is to all participate in sports activities abroad. Some of the most common forms of activities are biking and skiing. Skiing abroad is brilliant for people to experience something different and fast paced, which is why ski holidays are always popular during winter in Europe.

I have never been snowboarding before but I cannot deny how amazingly cool snowboarding holidays look. It now seems likely that I will get a chance to prove myself on the slopes this coming April. After watching a few videos on the internet, I concluded that good snowboarders really do look fantastic. Less than good snowboarders however, look injured on hospital stretchers, which then prompted me to look up basic snowboard safety.
