There are many different types of hotels that can help to meet a variety of different needs. Some market mainly to business people, while others target the wedding industry and others try to attract other clients. There are many available at various price points to appeal to people with a variety of budgets.

A client who is looking accommodations has many options to choose from. But before he decides on where he wants to stay, he has several other decisions that he must first make. For instance, he must decide on what part of town he wants to stay, the amenities he is looking for and of course, his budget. Once he has made these decisions, he can then start to narrow down his options.

Location is one of the main deciding factors when choosing accommodations. A client will want to be close to where he is going to be conducting business or near the people he is visiting. Some areas will have many different hotel choices, while others will only have one or two choices. The client will then have to decide if the choices in the area he is desiring to stay will be sufficient, or if he should decide to go a little further away from his ideal location in order to have more options.

The amenities that a hotel offers may very well be a big factor in deciding where to stay. Some guests will want to stay in a place that offers a complimentary breakfast with their rooms. Others will be more interested in the facilities that are offered such as an indoor swimming pool or a business center. A fitness center and room service might also be factors that interest potential guests.

Perhaps one of the biggest factors there are in deciding where a person should stay is the cost of a night's stay. Some hotels cater to a budget-minded customer and offer bare-bones accommodations. These facilities typically offer a clean, comfortable bed and a room that has a bathroom attached, but not a lot of extras are offered.

There are others that market to families. These facilities usually offer rooms with more than one bed, complimentary breakfasts and will often have a heated, indoor pool where families can have fun. They may offer other amenities that would attract families such as discounts to area attractions or package deals. A lot of these places allow guests to also bring their pets into their rooms.

High-end or luxury hotels may market to business people or they may focus on attracting events such as weddings and conferences. These places usually have sophisticated and elegant decors and offer catering, concierge service and other amenities and services that appeal to their target audience. They will likely charge more than other places, but can justify it due to the high quality facility and the services that they offer.

No matter what type of place that a client wants to stay, he is sure to find several hotels that will meet his needs and fit within his budget. He may choose his hotel because of its convenient location. He may also decide on where to stay based on the amenities offered or based on the cost of a night's stay.
